Maxine "Libby" Elizabeth Potts Allison, 71, of Cowpens, SC, died Thursday, March 24, 2016, at her home. Born September 23, 1944, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was survived by her life companion, Roy Mabry and predeceased by Steven Jack Phillips. A Cowpens High School graduate, Libby was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and formerly employed with Washburn & Company. Survivors include her sons, Red Allison (Terri) and Darryl Allison (Tammy), all of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Christy Marshall, Taylor Allison, Austin Allison, Tyler Kitchens, and Sommer Kitchens; five great-grandchildren; brother, Treavor Potts (Patsy) of Gaffney, SC; and sisters, Linda Hollifield (Doug) of Columbia, SC and Egie Anthony (John) of Spartanburg, SC. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 26, 2016, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Steven Griffith and the Rev. Joe Mosley. Visitation will follow at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agape Hospice of Spartanburg, 1060 Boiling Springs Road Suite 1, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
