Maxie Garrett Jr.

Maxie Perry Garrett, Jr., 56, of Spartanburg, SC died Friday, February 1, 2019 at his home. Born April 12, 1962 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Maxie Perry Garrett Sr., and Thelma Ann Westmoreland Garrett. Maxie was an independent expedited driver with Express Unlimited and was a Tire Chief for Ferrari of Beverly Hills. Desiring to leave his mark on mankind, Maxie followed in his father's footsteps and became a Freemason. His passion was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and enjoying life to the fullest. He always had a smile for everyone he knew, and if he did not know you, very soon you were a friend. Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Garrett Younger and her husband, Owen, of Spartanburg, SC; a sister, Sherri Barker and her husband, Dean of Spartanburg, SC; a niece, Cassie Butts; and a great nephew, Bentley Garrett. Visitation will be at 5:00 - 7:00 PM Monday, February 4, 2019 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A memorial service will be at 7:00 PM, at the chapel, conducted by The Rev. David Ervin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Maxie P. Garrett, Jr. Memorial Fund, P.O.
