Maxcy Clinton Lynn, 85, of 321 Brian Drive, Spartanburg, SC died Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born February 29, 1928 in Lancaster, SC, he was the son of the late Walston Adolphus and Kathleen Clinton Lynn. He was first married to the late Phil High Lynn. A graduate of Lancaster High School, he later graduated from Wofford College following service in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. An avid golfer, Maxcy was a pharmaceutical representive for G. D. Searle & Company for 35 years. He was a charter member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and Spartanburg Country Club. After his retirement, he was a Mobile Meals volunteer. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Copley Lynn; son, Maxcy Clinton Lynn, Jr. (Chris) of Spartanburg; daughter Terri Lynn Simpson (Madison) of Summerville, SC; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, W. A. Lynn. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 PM Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in Poston Hall at St. Paul United Methodist Church. Services will follow at 2:00 PM in the church, conducted by the Rev. Frank E. Lybrand. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1320 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, Mobile Meals Services, P.O.
