Mason Hipps

Mason G. Hipps, 84, of 171 Bryant Street, Pacolet, died Friday, December 25, 2009, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born November 29, 1925, in Inman, SC, he was the son of the late Jacob and Sally Hipps. He was retired from Milliken Pacolet Plant, a Mason, a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a member of Pacolet First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Mae Sizemore Hipps; a daughter, Patricia H. Addis and her husband Tony of Jonesville; two grandsons, Jim Addis and his wife Wanda of Arcadia, and Josh Addis of Union; and a special great-granddaughter, MaKayla Addis. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 27, 2009, in Pacolet First Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Tommy Sparks.
