Mary Wooten

Mary Louise Wooten, 76, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born September 16, 1937, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Alvin Ray and Willie Lee Lanford Cogdill. Mrs. Wooten loved to travel. She was a graduate of Spartanburg High School Class of 1955, a member of Arkwright Baptist Church, and employed with Lee's Famous Recipe. Among the survivors are her loving husband, James Albert Wooten Sr.; sons, James Wooten Jr., Robert Wooten, and Ronald Wooten, all of Spartanburg, SC; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sister, Barbara Gillespie (Bill). A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 21, 2014, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Andy Case.
