Mary Wolny

Mary Rita McMahon Wolny, 94, of Spartanburg, SC, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born May 27, 1923, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph John McMahon and Marie Eugenia Brandt McMahon and widow of Valentine Paul Wolny. Mrs. Wolny was a member of Jesus, Our Risen Savior Catholic Church and retired from Joseph Hornes Department Store. Survivors include her daughters, Valerie Jean Wolny-Gowan (Marc) of Atlanta, GA and Pamela Ann Klapper (Fred) of Spartanburg, SC; granddaughter, Rachel Eugenia Gowan; and grandson, Andrew Frederick Klapper. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, William McMahon; and sister, Eugenia McMahon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12:00 noon Friday, January 26, 2018, at Jesus, Our Risen Savior Catholic Church. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jesus, Our Risen Savior Catholic Church Capital Campaign, 2575 Reidville Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29301. The family is at their respective homes.
