Mary Winstead

Mary Gail Winstead, 77, of Pacolet Mills, SC, died Sunday, May 18, 2014, at her home. Born June 15, 1936 in Pacolet Mills, SC, she was the daughter of the late, William Thomas and Hester Ninon Loving Worthy. Mrs. Winstead was a weaver with Milliken and a member of Pacolet Mills Baptist Church. Survivors include her beloved husband of 43 years, Clay Eugene Winstead; son, James K. Johnson II; brothers, Robert (Jug) Worthy and Doyle (Colonel) Worthy; sister, Audrey Gilmer; grandsons, Nathan Ingram and James K. Johnson III; granddaughter, Ashly O'Pry; step-son, Clay E. Winstead Jr.; step-grandchildren, John Winstead, Brad Winstead, and Megan Czartoryski; eight great-grandchildren and special friend, Judy Worthy. She was predeceased by a son, Robert E. Johnson. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Drive, Pacolet, SC 29372. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Pacolet Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Norman L. Band.
