Mary Ellen "Mazie" Watson, 84, of Spartanburg, died on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at Windsor House-Spartanburg. Born October 3, 1928, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late W. Lloyd and Ellie Spake Murph and widow of George Tom Watson. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Watson was a member of Gravely Memorial Church and the Young At Heart Club. She was formerly employed with One Hour Martinizing Dry Cleaners. Surviving are her daughter, Gail Dunagin (Keith); grandsons, Terry Dunagin (Allyson) and Bryan Dunagin; great-grandchildren, Brittney Carter, Kaelyn Dunagin, Thomas Dunagin, and Seth Dunagin, all of Spartanburg. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Robert Murph, Bill Murph, and Paul Murph; and sisters, Virginia Gossett, Ella Threadgill, and Dora Fleming. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 30, 2013, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Scott Gilmer and the Rev. Scott Cobb. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
