Mary Roland

Mary Davis Roland, 96, died Sunday, May 29, 2011, at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville. Born April 3, 1915, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Vista Wilson Davis and the widow of Rev. Paul Roland. She was retired from Spartan Mills and a member of Southside Baptist Church in Spartanburg. Survivors include a son, Gilbert Roland (Cindy) of Spartanburg; two daughters, Janice Smith (Charles) of Mauldin and Lynn Cogswell (Tim) of Greenville; six grandchildren, Vince Roland, Devon Swale, Laura Putnam, Leah Hyatt, Glenn Pack, and ChristieAnn Mathison; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 PM on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
