Mary Rogers

Mary Mabel Bishop Rogers, 83, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, July 2, 2017, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born May 27, 1934 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Donald Maehue Bishop and Elizabeth Moore Bishop Gregory. A member of Bethel Baptist Church of Campobello, SC, Mrs. Rogers was semi-retired after many years of association with The Heel Bar. She loved gardening and playing music. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Carl O'Neil Rogers; daughters, Kathy R. Belcher of Spartanburg, SC, Sheila R. Pruitt (Daniel) of Greer, SC, and Mandy Rogers Crisp (William) of Inman, SC; son, John M. Rogers (Cindy) of Boiling Springs, SC; six grandchildren, Josh, Erin, Bryan, Greg, Owen and Nelson and four great-grandchildren, Hunter, Pate, Eva and Lily Beth. She was predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters. Visitation will be 1:00-2:45 PM Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, with services following at 3:00 PM in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Henry Johnson and the Rev. Michael Bradley. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307 Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 13040 SC-11, Campobello, SC 29322.
