Mary Margaret Myers Parris, 85, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, August 16, 2009, at her home. Born January 3, 1924, in Mapleton, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Charles Royal and Hazel Emma Bray Myers and the wife of the late Christopher Yates Parris, Sr. She was retired from Butte Knit, served in Civil Service radio repair during World War II, and was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Christopher Y. Parris, Jr. of Spartanburg, and Keith R. Parris and his wife Janet of San Antonio, TX; a daughter, Barbara Parris Clapp and her husband William David Black of Greensboro, NC; a brother, Keith R. Myers and his wife Nancy of Grand Junction, CO; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Myers of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren, Lisa Lyn Brewer and her husband Michael Douglas, Jeremy Kevin Parris and his wife Giada Roberts, Laura Jennifer Parris, Marissa Lianne Clapp, and Michael Austin Clapp; and three great-grandchildren, Hannah Marie, Sarah Elizabeth, and Evan Michael. She was predeceased by a grandson, Christopher Yates Parris, III; a brother, Kenneth E. Myers; and a sister, Muriel R. Hollan. Visitation will be 11:00-1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Preston Edmunds. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SC Junior Golf Association, P. O.
