Mary Guinn Owens, 83, formerly of Spartanburg, SC, passed into her Savior's arms on Sunday, September 20, 2015, at Ashlan Village-Lyman. Born May 28, 1932, in Greer, SC, she was the daughter of the late Marchant Leondas Guinn and Ruby Mae Caldwell Guinn, the last surviving child of nine children, and the widow of Jackie Lamar Owens. The matriarch of the family, Mrs. Owens enjoyed cooking and gardening - and so many people were glad she did. She was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and was retired from Southern Bell. Survivors include her daughter, Lori Jolly (Jeff) of Cowpens, SC; grandchildren, Emily, Travis, Nolan, and Jack; and numerous special and precious nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 23, 2015, in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, 251 Hannon Rd., Inman, SC 29349, by the Rev. Timothy Clark. Memorials may be made to Piedmont Hospice, 209A Riverside Court, Greer, SC 29650; or a charity of one's choice.
