Mary Ramella Napoli, 81, of Spartanburg, passed peacefully into God's arms Wednesday, September 7, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. Born May 11, 1930, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the only child of the late Florio and Tina Ramella. Mary was a devoted wife to Vincent "Vinnie", and they recently celebrated 60 years of marriage. Mary was the light of her husband's life and they enjoyed traveling together. In recent years, they became regulars for lunch at several of the local eateries. As well as being a homemaker, Mary was also the bookkeeper for her husband in NY. She was a friend to all who knew her. She always had a big smile for everyone, even through all of her health problems. She loved to dance and be with her friends and family. One of her greatest joys was her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, former president of the Italian American Club, and a member of the Christian Women's Club. She was predeceased by her eldest son, Anthony. In addition to her husband, survivors include her sons, John and wife Terri, Scott and wife Crissy; daughter-in-law Vickie; and six grandchildren, Austin, Dylan, Dalton, Olivia, Jessica, and Jason Napoli. Visitation will be 2:00-3:45 PM Sunday, September 11, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Kelly Belcher. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
