Mary Sherbert

Mary Louise Liebel Sherbert, 75, of 121 Brixton Court, died Friday, September 3, 2010, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born September 10, 1934, in Allegheny County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Thomas Liebel, Sr. and Clara Jane Lenkner Liebel and the widow of Alfred Dean "A.D." Sherbert. She was a member of the Catholic Church of Jesus, Our Risen Savior where she was active with the Daytimers Group. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Survivors include three daughters, Melinda Sherbert Mason, Donna Sherbert McDaniel and husband Mike, all of Moore, SC, and Pamela Sherbert Forrester and husband Kevin of Greer, SC; a son, Thomas Phillip Sherbert and wife Karen of Inman; nine grandchildren, April, Stacey, Kevin, Amy, Jonathan, Heather, Sarah, Elizabeth, and Hunter; ten great-grandchildren, Brianna, Brea, Kayla, Morgan, John-Thomas, Haylie, Mason, Grace, Kendyl, and Austin; one great-great-granddaughter, Reagan; and two brothers, Eugene and James Liebel of Glassport, PA. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Alan Mason; four brothers; and five sisters. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, September 6, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at the Catholic Church of Jesus, Our Risen Savior, conducted by the Rev. Ted Kalaw. Burial, with Military Honors, will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Catholic Church of Jesus, Our Risen Savior, 2575 Reidville Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
