Mary Robbins

June 27, 1915 — September 7, 2010

Mary Louise Robbins, 95, formerly of 425 South Church Street, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born June 27, 1915 in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Hilton W. and Lenora Prince Crocker and the wife of the late Howard Robbins. A 1932 graduate of Inman High School, she retired from Mayfair Mills where she was the first female supervisor and was a member of Arcadia First Baptist Church for over 60 years. Survivors include two daughters, Jo Anne Martin and husband Thurman of Spartanburg and Gayle Morgan of Campobello and fiancé Jim Moore of Spartanburg; two sons, Fred H. Robbins and wife Janet of Inman and John A. Robbins and friend Connie Trakas of Columbia; a sister, Betty Shuler of Holly Hill, SC; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by a grandson, Mark Martin. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2010 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Mark Roberts. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. Memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, P. O. Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304. The family is at their respective homes.
