Mary Howell

Mary Davis Howell, 89, of Spartanburg, SC, and formerly of the Saxon community, died Monday, June 16, 2014, at Magnolia Manor of Inman. Born April 24, 1925, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Boyce and Macie Wilbanks Davis. She was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Saxon Mill. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann Vise (Mike) of Spartanburg, SC; a son, Wayne Howell (Andrea) of Campobello, SC; seven grandchildren, Kelly Stockwell of Roebuck, SC, Michelle Vise of Spartanburg, SC, Scott Terry (Stephanie) of Greenville, SC, Tyler Vise of Spartanburg, SC, Angela Howell of Campobello, SC, Lynn Costello of Spartanburg, SC, and Steve Howell of Boiling Springs, SC; and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Howell; three sisters, and one brother. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, by the Rev. Monty King. Burial will be in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens, 125 Ft. Prince Rd., Wellford, SC 29385.
