Mary Horne

Mary Lucy Horne, 84, of 225 Walker Avenue, Pacolet Mills, died Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born October 28, 1928, in Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late George Oliver and Docia Duncan Tessner and the widow of Buel Edward Horne. She was retired from Milliken Co. in Pacolet after 45 years of service and was a member of Pacolet Mills Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Larry Edward Horne of Pacolet Mills; a sister, Sarah Ingram of Pacolet; seven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Jimmy Roger Horne; six brothers; and two sisters. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday, April 1, 2013, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dennis Tessnier. Burial will be in White Rose Cemetery, Pacolet, SC. The family is at the home of Buddy and Monica Robertson, 112 Houston Street, Pacolet, SC 29372.
