Mary Jean Manska Holloway of Spartanburg, SC died Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Woodruff Manor. Born April 28, 1946 in Jackson, MS, she was the daughter of the late James George Manska and Lucia Florine Bolt Manska Bridges.
Mary was a Teacher’s Aide at The South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind. A 1965 graduate of Mississippi School for Deaf and Blind, Mary was a World Record holder in High Jump in The World Olympics as well as a Gold and Bronze holder for Track and Field Deaf Olympics in Washington DC. She was a member and the Director of Sunday School at First Baptist Spartanburg.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Larry Holloway, her step-daughter, Elena Roxanne Lee of Gloucester, MA, her step-son, Lance Quitman Holloway of Spartanburg, SC, her sisters, Lilly Parker of Jackson, MS and Linda Harrison of Brandon, MS.
