Mary Hall

March 22, 1935 — January 3, 2023

Mary Ball Hall, 87, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at SMC -  Mary Black Campus. Born March 22, 1935, in Yancey County, NC, she was the daughter of the late James Wesley and Ossie Coates Ball and the wife of the late Willard Reed Hall.

Mary was a graduate of Bald Creek High School. A charter member of Eastside Baptist Church and an active member of the Women in the Church, throughout the years. Mary retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs, where she proudly served as a veteran’s benefits counselor.

She is survived by two sons, James Randal Hall (Ginger) of Spartanburg, SC and Willard Yancey Hall (Tiffany) of Columbia, SC; her brother, James Riley Ball; her grandchildren, James Benjamin Hall, Anna Grace Snyder (Miller), Ava Grace Hall, Peyton Ross Hall, and Aiden Reed Hall; and her great-grandson, Mack Alton Snyder.

Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2023, with a Memorial service to follow at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Joey Burnett.

The family is at the home of Randy Hall, 240 Lake Forest Dr. Spartanburg, SC 29307.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastside Baptist Church, 1850 Fernwood Glendale Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
