Mary Gregory

Mary Ruth Nelson Gregory, 98, of Bristol, VA and formerly of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at NHC Health Care of Bristol. Born October 17, 1919, in Jonesville, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Alvin and Dora Clark Nelson and widow of William Herbert Gregory. Mrs. Gregory was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and retired from Scovill Sewing Notions. Surviving are her son, William Michael "Mike" Gregory and wife Lorrie of Abingdon, VA; granddaughter, Sarah Dominic and husband Joel and their son, Calvin of Charlottesville, VA; and grandson, Eric Gregory and wife Julia of Carrboro, NC. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307 with funeral services following at 2:00 PM, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Keith Taylor. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
