Mary Green

Mary Wilson Cantrell Green, 95, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 28, 2010, at White Oak Estates. Born April 19, 1915, in Lexington, SC, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Blanche Redd Wilson. She was predeceased by her first husband, Edgar B. Cantrell, and second husband, Charlie H. Green. She worked at Spartan Mills and Mayfair Mills and was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church, the Arcadia Chapter of the Eastern Star, and the Oak Grove Baptist Church Golden Age Club. She is survived by her daughter, Neva C. Wilkie and husband Franklin; two stepdaughters, Brenda Pender and husband Lemuel and Judy Gregory and husband Gary; a stepson, Stephen C. Green and wife Cathy, all of Spartanburg; two brothers, Paul Wilson and wife Dottie of Spartanburg and Gene Wilson and wife Vera of Aiken; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Wilson of Charlotte; and nephew Jimey High and wife Marie of Spartanburg. Mary has ten grandchildren, Amber Wilkie Furnas and husband Chase, Lee Wilkie, Craig Pender and wife Tonya, Blake Pender and wife Nedonna, Stacey Glenn and husband Michael, Todd Gregory and wife Kyra, Shane Gregory and wife Tracy, Derek Gregory and wife Cindy, and Seth and Nathan Green; and twelve great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 p.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Reid Bowyer. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Music Department, Fairforest Baptist Church, P.O. Box 338, Fairforest, SC 29336.
