Mary F. Gentry, 83, of 340 Cedar Springs Road, died Thursday, November 26, 2009 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born May 9, 1926 in Union County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Bernice Gossett Fowler. She was first married to the late Fontaine W. Webber and then to the late William D. Gentry. She was retired from Arkwright Mill and was a member of Montgomery United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, George Gentry and wife Mary of Spartanburg; two daughters, Carolyn Ligon of Spartanburg and Janice Keith and husband Roy, of Pacolet; a brother, Bobby Fowler of Pacolet; three sisters, Ruth Conselyea, Betty Linder and Martha Wells, all of Pacolet; two grandchildren raised in the home, Ernest Eugene Webber and Melissa Vinson; grandchildren, Mark Garrett, Paul Gentry, Crystal Poole, Stephanie Garrett, and April Scott; eleven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Ernest D. "Bugs" Webber; two sisters, Mildred Thompson and Lunette Owens; and two brothers, Foster Fowler and Junior Fowler. Visitation will be from 2:00-3:15 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Kelly Lee Gallamore.
