Mary Frances Cox Smith, 82, of Spartanburg, died Friday, February 15, 2013, at White Oak Estates. Born March 20, 1930, in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late W. B. and Mary Ola Burnett Cox and widow of Fred Dexter Smith. She was a member of Glendale Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Rosemary Blankenship and husband Randy of Powder Springs, GA; former son-in-law, David Martin, Sr.; brother, Henry Cox of Spartanburg; grandson, Michael Martin of Glendale, SC; granddaughter, Rosemary Martin of Lithia Springs, GA; nieces, Teresa Kelley, Chrissy Pruitt, and Cindy Pettit; nephews, Rocco DeBrodt and Alfred Pruitt and wife Linda. She was predeceased by a grandson, David Martin, Jr.; sisters, Lucille Stroupe, Rosa Debrodt, and Mildred Pruitt; brothers, Grady, Paul, Robert, and Wilburn Cox. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Glendale Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Daniel Blackwell and the Rev. George Fields. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family is at their respective homes.
