Mary Grace Fedalei (nee Williamson), 78, of Spartanburg, SC died August 18, 2012 in her home. Born in Philadelphia, PA, on November 5, 1933, Mary Grace graduated from West Catholic High School and attended the University of Pennsylvania. She married Col. Albert F. Fedalei (U.S. Army) in 1957. He preceded her in death in 1981. Prior to moving to SC, the family resided in Silver Spring, MD for 33 years before moving closer to her son and family in Spartanburg, SC. In Silver Springs, MD, Mary Grace became an integral part of the community as an active member of the Resurrection Catholic Church, The American Cancer Society, the Military Wives Association, and the Red Hat Society. In Spartanburg, she was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and active in the St. Teresa's Circle. She was also a member of MOAA (Military Officers Association). She is survived by her son, Dr. Albert G. Fedalei and his wife Marcella Kelley Fedalei; her grandchildren, Christopher (Chris) and Elizabeth (Liz) Fedalei all of Spartanburg; her sisters, Sister Georgine Marie (Emily) Williamson IHM, Elizabeth (Betsy) Williamson, Jeanne Plohr (George); brother, George Williamson; as well as her nieces, Rebecca Underkofler Mullen and Christine Underkofler Moyer (Tim); and grand-niece, Eleanor Moyer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church on August 22, 2012 at 4:00 PM. The family will also receive friends at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel from 6:00-8:00 PM on August 21, 2012. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
