Mary Sue Emory, 94, of Spartanburg, SC, lost her long battle with Alzheimer's Friday, December 11, 2015 at her home. Born May 1, 1921, in Chesnee, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Annie Cantrell. She was also predeceased by her late husband, Charles L. Emory. She was a former owner of Sue's Daycare and was a member of Converse Baptist Church. She loved having a big family and taking care of her grandchildren. She cherished her time with them and they with her. Surviving are her sons, Dan Emory of Spartanburg, SC; Tim (Terri) Emory of Greenville, SC; daughter, Myra (Colin) Bailey of Duncan, SC; seven grandchildren, Danielle Green, Josh Emory, Preston Bailey, Hunter Bailey, Austin Emory, Sarah Emory and Chad Smith; and one great granddaughter, Emory Green; and sisters, Eleanor Harris and Viola Walker of Cowpens, SC. She was predeceased by a daughter, Reba Stutt; and a brother, William (Bo) Cantrell. Visitation will be 2:30 - 3:30 PM Monday, December 14, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, at the Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
