Mary Smith

Mary Elizabeth Love Smith, 95, of Spartanburg, SC, died June 5, 2020 at her home. Born January 24, 1925 in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Alfred D. and Mattie Irene Belcher Love and the widow of Charles Wesley Smith "Big Boy." Mary was a bookkeeper and homemaker. She loved art, painted, her dog "Smokey," her family, all sports and was very competitive, and was a bowler. She was a member of Abner Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Danny Smith of Spartanburg, SC, David M. Smith (Susan B.) of Union, SC, and Robin K. Smith (Mandy) of Pauline, SC; and her daughter, Cassandra Smith of Pauline, SC, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by a sister, Mildred Ogle. Graveside service will be at 1:00 PM Monday, June 8, 2020 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Rupert Guest.
