Mary Edna Johnson Dearybury, 90, of Cowpens, died Monday, June 8, 2009, at her home. Born May 24, 1919, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late William and Addie Johnson and the wife of the late James Roland Dearybury. She was a member of Thompson Chapel Baptist Church. A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is survived by a daughter, Margaret Ann D. Fowler of the home; two granddaughters, Crystal Saar (Ted) of Cowpens, and Elizabeth Fowler (Eddie Crow) of Lyman; her great-granddaughters who were her pride and joy, Annabelle and Baylee Saar of Cowpens; and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was predeceased by her brothers, Thomas, Robert, and Henry Johnson, her half-brother, Walter Davis; and her half-sisters, Bertha Burgess and Ola Fortner. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens conducted by Chaplain James Price. The family is at the home of her granddaughter, Crystal Saar.
