Mary Darby

Mary Anne Darby, 87, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, December 15, 2016, at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care. Born June 5, 1929, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Fred Roy Darby and Ethel Hendrix Darby. Miss Darby was a member of Central United Methodist Church and worked in retail sales at Wright-Scruggs Shoe Store and The Cambridge House for many years. Survivors include numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, and will always be a loved one to be remembered. Visitation will be held from 1:00-1:45 PM on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main St. Spartanburg, SC 29307, with services following in the Chapel at 2:00 PM, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Tom Norrell. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church, 233 N.
