Mary Cribb

Mary "Geri" Cribb, 78, of Chester died Friday, April 1, 2011 at her home. Born May 19, 1932 in Camden, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Edward and Emmie Mae Player Poston and wife of the late Joseph Edward Cribb, Sr. She was a member of Wilkesburg Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Otis Edwards, Jr. of Orlando, FL and Joseph Edward Cribb, Jr. of Chester; a daughter, Delores Diane Elkins of Chester; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, James Allan Poston of Whitmire; and four sisters, Bobby Westbrook of Monroe, NC, Linda Stephenson and Janice Elms both of Chester, and Pat Lawson of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Wayne Edwards; two brothers, Lewis Edward Poston, Jr. and Donald Poston; and a sister, Margie J. Johnson. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to United Hospice of the Piedmont, 118 York Street, Chester, SC 29706. The family will be at Ms. Cribbs' home, 1287 Worthy's Ferry Road, Chester, SC for visitation.
