Mary Coggins

Mary Irene Boukedes Coggins, 80, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, January 1, 2018, at Lake Emory Post Acute Care-Inman. Born July 3, 1937, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late James George and Nettie Irene Crocker Boukedes. Mrs. Coggins was a graduate of Cecil's Business College and was retired from Blockbusters Home Office. She was an active member of First Baptist North Spartanburg where she loved singing in the choir, singing praises to her Lord Jesus Christ and loved being involved in all phases of the church life. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, William K. "Bill" Coggins; children, Steve Kirby Coggins of Spartanburg, SC and Amy C. Solesbee (Bobby) of Boiling Springs, SC; and grandchildren, Logan Solesbee, and Landon Solesbee. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her step-mother, Iphigenia Kokonis Boukedes and siblings, Elaine Epton, Frances Burlak, Nancy Allen, George Boukedes, Jimmy Boukedes, David Boukedes and Johnny Boukedes. Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 PM Friday, January 5, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, with services following in the Chapel at 2:00 PM, conducted by the Rev. Dwayne Morris. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
