Mary Sue Smith Bishop, 90, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at Windsor House-Spartanburg. Born May 1, 1925, in Woodruff, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Clarence and Leila West Smith and widow of Jerry Robert Bishop. Mrs. Bishop loved her Lord and was the last surviving charter member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. A great cook, beautiful quilter, and maker of dishcloths, she was the perfect wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all she met. She was also a graduate of Cecil's Business College. Surviving are her sons, Jerry Robert Bishop Jr. (Jackie) of Simpsonville, SC, Tom Bishop (Debora) of Atmore, AL, and Jack Bishop (Carol) of Spartanburg, SC; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, LaNelle Massey of Nashville, TN. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 PM Friday, February 5, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. Robert H. Brozina. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church, 880 W. O. Ezell Blvd., Spartanburg, SC 29301; or the Alzheimer's Association, 901 S.
