Marvin Snow

Marvin J. Snow, 82, died Saturday, January 8, 2011, at Windsor House. Born December 27, 1928, in Spartanburg County, he was married for 59 years to Donaleen Trent Snow and was the son of the late Ralph H. and Isabell Evans Snow. He was co-owner of Boats Unlimited, Inc.; a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served during the Korean War; a member of the Marine Corps League; a lifetime member of both The Chosen Few and the Military Order of the Purple Heart; a member of the Korean Veterans Association and the VFW; and a volunteer with the War Veterans, 1st Marine Division. He was of the Baptist faith. Also surviving are two sisters, Nancy Junkins and husband Haskell, and Sybil Lewis; and his stepmother, Iris Branen. Graveside services with military rites by the Marine Corps League will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2011, at Sunset Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev. Thomas Hill and the Rev. Daryl Tolleson.
