Marvin Gardner

November 14, 1950 — September 16, 2021

Marvin Leon Gardner, Sr., of Campobello, SC went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 16, 2021. Born November 14, 1950 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late John Vernon and Clara Winkler Gardner.

Mr. Gardner was the owner of Cook’s Transmission Service. He was a member of North Spartanburg Church of God and served on the church Pastors Council.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Vickie Jones Gardner, his sons, Marty Gardner of Campobello, Kevin Gardner (Terra) of Inman, SC, his daughter, Nikki Gardner of Inman, SC, granddaughters, Marlee Gardner, Kenzie Gardner, Kamryn-Li Gardner, and Klair Womack. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Paul Gardner and his sister, Millie Jean Gardner.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM Sunday, September 26, 2021 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens,1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Graveside service will be at 3:00 PM, conducted by The Rev. Larry Flippo.

Memorials may be made to North Spartanburg Church of God, 2069 Chesnee Highway, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
