Martha "Gin" Ward

Martha “Gin” Ward, 88, formerly of Tinsley Ward Road, Spartanburg passed away on Friday March 14, 2025, after a lengthy illness at White Oak North Grove. She was married to her late husband, Curtis Gene Ward for 67 years. She was the daughter of late Marshall and Edna Webb. She leaves behind two children, Jennifer Moore (Alan) and Rex Ward both of Spartanburg along with three grandchildren, Chad Ward, Brittany Holly, Stephen Moore, and the late Josh Ward, two great-grandchildren, Austin Ward and Leland Holly.

Mrs. Ward was a lifelong devout and faithful member of Fairview Baptist Church where she served on numerous offices and committees. She loved gardening, sewing and especially cooking for her family.

She is predeceased by sisters, Lucille Webb, Doris Seay, Edna McAbee, Betty Pruitt, Louise Thompson, Patricia Smith, sister-in-law Dottie Tinsley and brother, William Webb. Surviving sisters are Mary Quinn, Gayle Nunamaker and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 17, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Floyds Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC. Conducted by Rev. Jack Owens and Rev. Gary Pruitt. Interment will be held following the service at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery.
