Martha Ann Sisk Turner

Martha Ann Sisk Turner passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at White Oak of Spartanburg. She was born in Spartanburg on October 1, 1937, to the late Isaac Carter and Frances Louise Sisk. She was a 1955 graduate of Fairforest High School. Martha was predeceased by her husband, William Dean Turner. She was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church.

Martha touched many lives through her many years at Bo Peep Day Care in Spartanburg.

She leaves behind her daughters, Tammy Thompson (Ricky) and Teri Wells (Marshall); grandchildren, Brandi Ricketts (Chesley), Kyle Wells (Kelly), Carter Wells (Kristen); great-grandchildren, Ollie Wheeler, Asher Ricketts, T.J., Stella, and Hudson Wells; siblings, Donald and Dennis Sisk and Kathy Allison. She was predeceased by her brother, Herbert Sisk and her sister, Myra Sisk.

An avid Gamecock Fan, Martha loved big and never missed the opportunity to brag on her family. When you visited her, you always left with a bag of snacks. She was a lady of many names – Martha, Mott Mott, Nanny, Granny, Nanocity, and Cheese. She wore all of them proudly and will be greatly missed.

The family would like to take the opportunity to thank the staff of Agape Hospice and White Oak of Spartanburg. Your dedicated care and friendship mean more than you will ever know. A special thank you to, Stephanie, Darnell, Krystal, Jill, Lisa, Ayunna, and Virginia.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC, 29307, with Chaplain Darnell Durrah officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Agape Hospice Carnation Fund at www.carnationfoundation.com.

The families are at their respective homes.
