Martha Lawter

Martha Jean Gosnell Lawter, 63, of Pauline, died Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at her home. Born August 22, 1948, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Ollie Mae Gosnell. She was of the Baptist faith and employed with Merit Group for 15 years. Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Ellis Wayne Belue; sons, Ted Lawter and wife Tammy of Nebraska, and David Lawter and wife Joyce of Greencreek, NC; grandchildren, Scott, Derrick, and Dillon Lawter of Nebraska, Kelly Hallman of Grover, NC, Haley Lawter of Greencreek, NC, D. J. Lawter of Washington, and Joshua Lawter of Greencreek, NC; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Friday, January 13, 2012, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 14, 2012, in Westwood Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Gary Curtis. The family is at the home.
