Martha Givens

Martha Givens, 82, of Campobello, died Sunday, November 6, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born June 4, 1929, in Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Dewy Corbin and RoseVelt Smith Thurman. She was a member of Northbrook Baptist Church and a former manager with Cato Fashions. Survivors include her daughter, Lynnette Givens-Prince and husband Rev. Gene Prince of Campobello; son, Henry Ronnie Givens and wife Brenda of Boiling Springs; granddaughter, Gena Lynn Prince of Campobello; grandson, Dr. Gregory Givens and wife Lori of Greenwood; great-grandsons, Jackson, Walker, and Garrett Givens; sister, Hazel Tindall of Summerville; and brother, Jerry Thurman of Batesville, AR. She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Henry Buford Givens. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 9, 2011, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Bill Adams.
