Martha England Fox passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, under the compassionate care of Upstate Community Hospice in Landrum, SC. For the past six years, she was lovingly cared for by the staff at Rosecrest Retirement in Inman, SC.
Born on October 25, 1939, in Greenville, SC, Martha shared 64 years of love and partnership with her devoted husband, Joseph Marshall Fox. She was a loving mother to her cherished daughter, Leslie Fox. Despite facing significant physical challenges throughout her life, including years in a wheelchair, Martha approached life with resilience and a unique perspective, never allowing her limitations to define her.
Martha earned a master’s degree in Speech Therapy and was passionate about helping others. She leaves behind a legacy of courage, strength, and unwavering love that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard W. England and Helen Pawnee McWhorter England.
Martha will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her witty humor, her belief in sharing and kindness and the hope she brought to all who struggled.
