Marshall Parker

October 27, 1959 — February 25, 2022

Marshall Dean Parker, 62, husband of Carmen Wolf Parker, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022, at Spartanburg Medical Center.  Born October 27, 1959, he was a son of Jeanette Simpson Parker of Verona Ky. and the late Willard Parker.

Marshall, a U. S. Army Veteran, was an employee of Royal Securities, LLC, as a security technician.  He loved his family, his Jeep, taking group pictures at family reunions, and the family dogs, despite saying they were “just dogs”.  He was an avid reader who could usually be found reading a book outside, even in the snow.  He loved passing on words of wisdom to his family including “if you work a job you love, you’ll never work a day in your life”.  He enjoyed his Friday afternoon cigars and cribbage and Saturday morning breakfasts at The Skillet with his friends.

Survivors along with his wife and mother, are daughters, Hannah Parker of Sumter, SC, and Sarah Parker of Spartanburg, SC; sons, Zachary Parker of Spartanburg, SC, and Dakota Parker of Charleston, SC; a granddaughter, Ruby Parker; sisters, Sherry Parker and April Conrad; and a brother, Payton Parker.  He was predeceased by brother, Michael Parker.

Visitation will be held at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main St., Spartanburg, SC, 29307, Friday, March 4, 2022, 2:00-4:00 PM.

A Celebration of Life will be held 12:45 PM on Monday, March 21, 2022 at the Hamilton Stanley Funeral Home, Verona, KY.  A Memorial Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Funeral Home.   Burial will be at 2:00 PM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-North, 205 Eibert Lane, Williamstown, Ky, 41097.
