Mark William Deichman, Jr., 85, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, October 18, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born October 21, 1923, in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Mark W. Deichman, Sr. and Frieda B. Deichman and husband of the late Dorothy W. Deichman. He was a retired Plant Manager and Quality Control Director with Southern Wood Piedmont of Spartanburg, a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, North Spartanburg Rotary Club, National Train Collectors Association, a Mason of Lodge #536 in Waynesboro, PA, and a U. S. Army Veteran serving in World War II. Surviving are two children, Mark Brian Deichman and wife Pamela, and Barbara Marie Deichman, and two grandchildren, William Bradley Deichman and Mark Garren Deichman, all of Spartanburg. Visitation will be 2:00-3:45 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. David E. Nichols, the Rev. Dr. Charles A. Graves, and the Rev. David B. Smith. Burial will be in Westwood Memorial Gardens.
