Marjorie Allison, 87, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born August 14, 1928, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Allie Ellen Conner Lewis. She was married for 60 years to the late Doyle Bascome Allison Sr. Mrs. Allison was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and retired from S&S Manufacturing. Her life was defined by the love she gave to her family and children. She was the ultimate Mom and a role model for what a mother should be. To her "special daughter" Margie, she was a lifelong inspiration and hero. Survivors include her children, Debra A. Williamson and son-in-law Jim, and Angela A. Harley, all of Spartanburg, SC, Margie Lewis Web of Cleveland, TN, and Doyle Allison Jr. of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Alicia Bolin of Rock Hill, SC, Melissa Edgins and Amanda Deaton, both of Spartanburg, SC, Wesley Williamson of San Francisco, CA, Ricky Allison of Enoree, SC, and David Allison of Duncan, SC; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Artie Quinn of Pauline, SC; and brother, Nick Lewis of Spartanburg, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Amanda Allison; and brothers, George Lewis and Dewey Lewis. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday, May 29, 2016, at the home of her daughter, Angela Harley of 326 Lowndes Dr., Spartanburg, SC. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Second Presbyterian Church, by the Rev. David B. Howell. Private entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Complex.
