Marion Bryant

Marion Laverne Painter Bryant, 86, of Moore, SC, died Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital-Spartanburg. Born November 26, 1930, in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Pierce Edward Painter and Ethel Irene Mahaffey Painter and widow of Harland Eugene Bryant. A graduate of The SC School for the Deaf and Blind, Mrs. Bryant was a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Cook (Tommy) of Moore, SC; grandchildren, Thomas Cook, Katilyn Cook, and Coleman Cook, all of Moore, SC; and sisters, Betty Jones and Shirley Pollard, both of Greenville, SC. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, December 4, 2016, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. Visitation will follow the service at the Chapel. Burial will be private.
