Marie Toussieux

Marie Rose "Mary Rose" Halter Toussieux, 92, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, August 20, 2015, at White Oak Estates. Born October 27, 1922, in Thaon Les Vosges, France, she was the daughter of the late Maria Agusta Gegalt Halter and Emile Halter and was the widow of Louis Schreiber and Christian Toussieux. Mary Rose was a world traveler who loved playing golf and bridge. Mrs. Toussieux is survived by her grandson, Thomas Green (Traci) of Pawley's Island, SC; her granddaughter, Elizabeth Green Etheredge (Howard) of Fort Mill, SC; and her great-grandchildren, Kate and Parker Green and Ben Etheredge. She was predeceased by her daughter, Liliane Hamilton and her 9 brothers and sisters. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2015, at Chester Memorial Gardens, 945 West End Road, Chester, SC 29706, conducted by Father Gillespie. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. The family wishes to express special thanks to White Oak Estates for their excellent care of Mary Rose and to Betty Chandler for all of her assistance and support.
