Marie Hawkins

Marie "Billie" Hughes Hawkins, 85, formerly of Milliken Avenue, Drayton, died Friday, April 16, 2010, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born September 2, 1924, in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Willie Rex and Ida Pinckney Hughes and wife of the late Ellis Randolph Hawkins, Sr. She was a lifelong member of Drayton Baptist Church and currently attending Roebuck United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Randy Hawkins and wife Cathy of Cowpens; a daughter, Jeanne Earnhardt and her husband Jimmy of Roebuck; a brother, Don Hughes and wife Jean of Spartanburg; a granddaughter, Jessica Mullins and husband Travis; and two great-grandsons, Jake and Eli Mullins. Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Jones Brewer. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303; to the Children Shelter of the Upstate, P. O. Box 2663, Spartanburg, SC 29304; or to the charity of one's choice. The family is at the home of her granddaughter, Jessica Mullins, 1626 Old Anderson Mill Road, Moore, SC 29369.
