Marguerite Bullington Dye, 86, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, April 14, 2014, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born August 2, 1927, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Dewey McKinney and Eva Vandiver Bullington. Mrs. Dye was a lifelong member of Spartanburg's Southside Baptist Church. She was a "good looking" loving Christian wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Survivors include her loving husband of 68 years, Wilburn Lee Dye; one daughter, Lynn Dye Wilson and her husband D. J. Wilson of Spartanburg; two grandchildren, Timothy L. Wilson and his wife Caroline of Greer, Esther W. Gosnell and her husband Nick of Boiling Springs, SC; great-grandson Luke Gosnell of Boiling Springs, SC; two sisters, Louise B. McCall of Charlotte, NC, and Amelia B. Moore of Spartanburg, SC; a brother, Lewis P. Bullington of Columbia, SC; sister-in-law, Judy Bullington of Roebuck, SC; and special brother-in-law, James K. Dye of Spartanburg, SC; many nieces and nephews, including her grandniece Kim Penland and her husband Craig of Greer and their sons, Landon and Kelly, and special nephew, Wallace Lee Dye of Knoxville, TN. She was predeceased by two brothers, Douglas M. Bullington and Dewey Russell Bullington; brothers-in-law, J. T. Moore and Dwight McCall; sisters-in-law, Mary C. Bullington, Ann Bullington, and June E. Bullington; nieces, Cathy Morrow and Pat Moore; and a nephew, Buddy Bullington. Visitation will be 2:30-3:30 PM Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Schuyler Peterson and the Rev. Cameron Wilson. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 316 South Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306.
