Marguerite Holmes Jones Baughn, 80, died Sunday, June 14, 2015, at her home. Born July 27, 1934, in Pacolet, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jerry Harold and Lucille Holland Holmes. She was predeceased by her first husband, John William Jones. Mrs. Baughn was a graduate of Cecil's Business College and retired from Phillips Staffing, and a former secretary of Spartan Petroleum. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church, Ruth Sunday School Class, and was a former organist at Cedar Springs Baptist Church. In her early childhood, Mrs. Baughn was a member of Montgomery Memorial United Methodist Church. As a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she instilled in her family true Christian love. Survivors include her loving husband, David C. Baughn; daughters, Jan McClure (Malcom) of Spartanburg, SC and Judy Senn (Kim) of Myrtle Beach, SC; son, John William Jones, II of Spartanburg, SC; niece, Tara Ramirez (Joseph) of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Holly Bannan (Robert), Andy McClure and fiancé Lauren, Janna McClure, Bailey Sizer (Chris), Erin Senn, Lindsey Jones, John Gavin Jones; great grandchildren, Jacob Bannan, Hattie Bannan, Harlee McCutcheon, Liem Jacksenn, Marley Laban; her loving canine companion, Prince; step-children, Gary Baughn (Janice) of Palmira, FL, Morey Baughn of New Jersey, Bobby Baughn (Jan) of Cumming, GA, and Francis Gojda (Gene) of Marietta, GA; nine step-grandchildren, several step-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Gerald Holmes and a sister, Susan Messer. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, June 15, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Morningside Baptist Church, 897 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302, conducted by the Rev. Jack Dodds. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Morningside Baptist Church, 897 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302 or to SMRC Hospice Special Needs Fund, 120 Heywood Ave, Ste. 300, Spartanburg, SC 29302. The family wishes to express the deepest appreciation to Charity Howard, Deborah Gore, Monica Banks, Cherie Elias, and Cindy Copeland for the loving care shown to Mrs. Baughn during her illness.
