Margie Murray

Margie Fleming Murray, 84, of Pacolet, SC, died Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at White Oak Manor-Spartanburg. Born December 15, 1928, in Pacolet, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mittie Mathis Fleming. A loving mother and grandmother, Mrs. Murray was a member of Pacolet Mills Baptist Church and retired from the textile industry. Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, James Monroe Murray of Pacolet, SC; daughters, Sheryl Shehan (Mike) of Pacolet, SC, and Jamie Rothman (Scott) of Scottsdale, AZ; grandson, Kevin Shehan (Audrey) of Spartanburg, SC; great-granddaughters, Avery and Kaylan Shehan; sister, Carolyn Worthy of Pacolet, SC; brother, Jack Fleming of Spartanburg, SC; a number of nieces and nephews, including special family member, Jerry Ritch. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Eddie Beck. A cryptside service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Friday, October 11, 2013, in Pacolet Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 141 Memorial Drive, Pacolet, SC 29372, by the Rev. Norman L. Band. Visitation will follow at the cryptside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 901 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302. The family is at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Mike Shehan.
