Margie Holobaugh

Margie Segraves Holobaugh, 87, of Spartanburg, died Friday, March 30, 2012, in the presence of her immediate family, at Summit Hills Senior Living Community. Born March 20, 1925, in Charlotte, NC, she was the widow of Palmer Grey Holobaugh, and the daughter of the late William Jackson and Nellie Kate Harwell Segraves. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Margie is survived by her daughter Suzan Holobaugh Bergland and husband David of Naples, FL. Margie is also survived by her grandchildren, Russell Gregory Burch, Jr. and wife Christa of Bear, DE; Amy Burch Cassell and husband Alan of Campbell, CA; David Andrew Burch and husband Steve Schmidt of New York, NY; and Holly Elizabeth Shanley of Santa Cruz, CA. Margie's great-grandchildren include, Palmer Kyle Burch of Bear, DE and Caitlin Mahlia Cassell of Campbell CA. Her brother, William Harwell Segraves of Marshall, TX, also survives Margie. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sharon Holobaugh Burch. Margie was a retired Spartanburg realtor, a member of the Board of Realtors, and was presented the Realtor Emeritus Award in 2005 to celebrate 40 years of membership. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She will be remembered as an elegant lady, a devoted wife, and a role model for all. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, April 2, 2012 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. James Nugent. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be directed to Southside Baptist Church 316 S Church Street Spartanburg, SC or to the National Kidney Foundation www.kidney.org.
