Margaret Louise Vaughn Wofford, 81, of 343 South Highpoint Road, died Monday, July 20, 2009, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born July 22, 1927, in Woodruff, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Maude Cox Vaughn and the wife of the late John Wallace Wofford. She was retired from Arrow Automotive and was a member of Green Street Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, member of the WMU, and served on the Hospitality Committee. She enjoyed crocheting and fishing. Survivors include a son, John Mark Wofford of Spartanburg; and three brothers, Geddes Vaughn and his wife Frances of Moore, Jack Vaughn, Jr. and his wife Kay of Woodruff, and James Vaughn of Landrum. She was predeceased by her sister, Dora Hunter of Woodruff. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at Floyd?s North Church Street Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Thomas Moore. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303; or to Green Street Baptist Church, 446 Brawley Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
