Margaret Norris

Margaret Louise Nix Norris, 80, of Gore, VA, formerly of Spartanburg, died Sunday, August 2, 2009, in Winchester Medical Center. Born in 1928 in Avondale, NC, she was the daughter of the late David C. and Nora Grant and the wife of the late Cecil Eugene Norris who preceded her in death in 1995. She was a homemaker. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara O'Brien and her husband Michael of Gore, VA, and Marsha Skroupa and her husband Robert of Simpson, PA; her son, Vernon Norris and his wife Anita of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister, Mae Nix and her husband Thomas of Spartanburg; a brother, Bill Nix and his wife Ruth of Boiling Springs; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2009, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2009, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Adult Care Center, 115 Wolfe Street, Winchester, VA 22601.
